There are 16 2 inch block which make up the center of this quilt. The finished quilt is 12.5 inches square. I inserted blue piping before attaching the binding using Susan Cleveland’s technique and ruler. Susan’s book Piping Hot Bind is an excellent resource. Piping just adds that extra pizzazz.

The background fabric is the 2007 challenge fabric for my guild, Phoenix Area Quilt Association. In December, my quilt won second place in the 2007 PAQA challenge. There are 16 1 1/2 inch block which make up the center of this quilt. The finished quilt is 9 inches square. The star was designed by Carol Doak for the Carol Doak On-Line Quilting Group to celebrate 2000 members
